This excursion is ideal for those not wishing to spend 2 or 3 days away from Cyprus on a mini cruise or
those who not travel well by boat!
Our excursion begins from Paphos airport on a direct flight to Cairo, where you will be greeted by the
local guide and transported on air-conditioned coaches through the city of Cairo where old meets new.
First stop the Egyptian Museum which is famous for its fascinating collection of artifacts from a bygone era.
Gaze upon the mask of Tutankhamen and his array of magnificent treasures. Statues, mummies, carvings,
hieroglyphics and much more.
On the outskirts of Cairo nestling on the desert you will find one of the "Seven Wonders" of the ancient
world. The awesome Pyramids of Giza. Time is given to go inside the pyramid to the chamber where the pharaoh
was laid to rest.
Visit the Sphinx for wonderful photo opportunities and marvel at the gigantic human-headed lion, entirely
carved out of rock and measuring 21 meters high and 73 meters long.
Visit the Citadel and experience the spectacular view of the Islamic Cairo and minarets.
Lunch is served in the elegant "Le Meridien Hotel" overlooking the pyramids of Giza. Time for shopping in an
authentic Egyptian Bazaar where you can purchase all your memorabilia.
Watch the sun sinking into the Nile as you finish the day onboard the Maxim for a Nile cruise and
enjoy local folk lore dancing belly dancing and a sample of local delicacies.
Returning to Paphos airport at approximately midnight.
