Local excursion: Troodos Mountains - Paphos Forest, Kykko Monastery, Tomb of Makarios, Platres
Discover the "Green Heart" of Cyprus, its picturesque villages and
valleys.
Commencing our journey we travel
through the 'ecological heart' of Cyprus with its idyllic villages
and evergreen forests. Stopping for a short time at Platres
for refreshments.

We will then travel through the Troodos square and upwards to the
highest point in Cyprus, Mount Olympus standing 1,951 meters above
the sea level (weather permitting).
Our next stop is the
breath-taking Kykkos Monastery, the most famous and wealthiest
monastery on the Island, founded 1092.
Here we will have ample
time to visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios and then enjoy lunch
in the restaurant nearby.
Returning to your hotel travelling
through the panoramic forest of Paphos
Please note that there is
a strict code inside the manastery and modest attire is required. Shoulders
and knees must be covered - no shorts or low-cut blouses.
